Simple Banana and Oat cookies

4 ingredients you probably have in your house right now!

August 23, 2016
We call them "Banookies" meaning banana + cookies.  No hydrogenated oils or additives. Just simple healthy ingredients that you probably have in your cabinets right now.
All you need are:
Quick Cook Oats (I prefer organic) About 1+ cup but the actual consistency is your call based on the amount of banana. You’ll know when they look and feel firm enough.
Honey (about 2 teaspoons)
1 large ripe banana
Chocolate Chips - semi-sweet or dark chocolate- as many as you’d like!
Simply mash the ripe banana, add the oats and honey and then get messy by squishing and mixing until you have a nice firm enough consistency to form balls. Add chocolate chips and mix gently. Then form either balls (harder) or just scoop tablespoons (my style) onto a lightly oiled or non stick baking tray.. Make them the size of mini donut holes.
Any way you make them, trust me, they will taste great!
Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes until lightly browned
That’s it!  Enjoy them warm. My kids devour these!
